One of Croatia’s most popular tourist destinations is its biggest peninsula – Istria. Although comfortably nestled in the northern Adriatic, Istria enjoys a Mediterranean climate of warm and dry summers and mild and sunny winters.
Betiga, a small settlement on Istria’s west coast, was settled by Romans in the early Christian era, for good reasons too. Today, the ancient ruins they left behind are archaeological sites in the midst of aromatic Mediterranean shrubbery, vineyards and olive groves.
Betiga – with its vast beaches, crystal clear water and surrounding greenery, is located in the vicinity of larger towns with their restaurants, night life and sports activities – is the ideal vacation spot.
Villa Betiga Hills is conveniently located on a wine and bicycle route. A tennis court, numerous restaurants with Mediterranean and local cuisine, cafés and fun activities are all close by.
Betiga is a perfect holiday spot – whether you prefer a peaceful, laid-back or an active, fun-filled vacation!
Betiga’s location in Istria is ideal – no more than thirty-minutes by car from Rovinj and Pula, with its international airport.
A short drive will bring you to landmarks such as the Brijuni national park, the Rovinj Old Town, and the Roman colosseum in Pula which transforms into an open-air film and concert arena during the summer.
Also in the vicinity, there are two aqua parks, horseback riding, golf courses, possibilities for boat, motorcycle and moped rental, a surf and diving school, scenic air tours, daily excursions to Venice, Postojna caves, and Plitvice lakes. There are plenty of opportunities for wine tasting and enjoying local produce of olive oil, prosciutto, local cheeses and, of course, buying freshly caught fish straight from fishermen’s boats. We will be more than happy to share our recommendations and additional information with you.
